October, 17th - We have moved on to Microsoft Office Word to learn word processing. This week our focus is on File Management and the basic functions of word processing. Vocabulary words are: Edit, Font, Title Bar, Menu Bar, Tool Bar, Highlight, and Format. We have started Portfolio work.
October 11th - Welcome back. Hope everyone had a great fall break. We will be finishing up with Typing Tutor this week. When your graph is filled up and your accuracy is high let me know that you are ready for your final test!!
September 12th - Students tested last week (congrats to everyone) and began using the Typing Tutor Program to build touch typing skills from a beginning level up to a proficient level. Making lots of progress this week. Keep up the good work.
September 5th - Labor Day Holiday. School pictures are tomorrow!!!
August 22 - Colored keypad covers have arrived. Nice. Now the temptation to look down at the keyboard is removed.
August 15th - Some students are on Dance Mat Typing to learn touch typing while a few have moved on to Typing Tutor to work on gaining speed and accuracy. Keep up the good work...remember...keep your fingers on the home row keys when you type and NEVER look down!!
August 1st - Welcome 6th graders, to Computer Technology this 2011-2012 school year. I hope you are as excited about this new school year as I am.
